I checked out the Creative Commons site after quite a long time today, and I must admit, it looks good now. Gone are the days when it was dominated bu dull gray colors, it’s a sport bright green now.
The other thing I knew about, and noticed too is that India now has it’s own CC page, indeed the India chapter of CC started on January 26. It’s page looks like a blog, hell, it IS a blog, but I hope over the next few months it becomes stronger.
The other thing I wanted to tell you all is that the new Creative Commons 3.0 license has been released. And yes, I’ve switched over from version 2.5 to 3.0. It brings with it a new look page and eye-candy legal docs interface, along with some new buttons too. The generic license is now called ‘Unported’, pretty techie sounding I might say. Generic was better. There’s an India version now too, but it’s still 2.5, so I guess I didn’t miss the switch long.
Henceforth, all articles on this blog are being published under the rules of CC 3.0, for the exact terms under which I’m releasing can be viewed by clicking the CC button in the sidebar. It’s still Non-Commercial, Share-Alike, Attributed, FYI.
