Grey Matters

Grey MattersI shot a nice pic on my cellphone today, on the lines of the DPS VK Quiz Club tagline Grey Matters. And if you’re wondering whose head that is, it’s mine! :p You can view the larger version of the photo by clicking on it. Maybe I’ll find myself as a wallpaper on a few desktops of crazy people, eh?

Image was shot at 1600 x 1200 resolution on my cellphone, with grayscale, brightness / contrast and text addition done on The GIMP and later cropped to 1400 x 1200 resolution. You’re free to use this image under the same Creative Commons 3.0 license that applies to this blog (look under ‘Legal Blah’ for more info).

Please get rid of Snap plugin… it is very irritating to me… it took me a few extra clicks to open your pic in full size. If anyone wants previews, they can use firefox’s coolIRIS extension…

Also, please put pictures in 3:4 aspect ratio. GQ fans can put up the pics more easily on the desktop as a wallpaper.
Even include a 16:10 version for the widescreen fans! 😉

You should use your resources(and creativity;fontographer) and find some new fonts. It’s the same crappy Jokerman or Comic Sans I see everywhere.

@abhishek: Absolutely.
Jokerman…sucks.

@prashanth: Widescreen was always 16:9

@Prasanth: Why should it take you multiple clicks, because that image is still a link after all? Anyway, everyone uses Snap man, even you. It’s a very nifty feature. I didn’t use the ‘turn on Snap’ option because I knew most of them won’t search the sidebar just for that.

@Abhishek: It’s Jokerman…and it ain’t crap.

@Arjun: Better start liking Jokerman dude, because it’s the official Code Warriors font. If it’s not me who’ll be screaming, it’ll be Bani Das (that’s the comp HoD). Me and Anshul tried changing the font this year, and suffered (long story…). You’ve less than one week to start loving it.

So I did say Jokerman didn’t I? It’s a nice font but the when the whole world has the same thing then how different is GQ’s Blahg?

That’s what I intended to say. No offence, really.

I dont use SNAP. It is very irritating and comes up like a dialogue box which I hate a lot. I just wish users could get the option to turn off snap if they wanted to on your blog…
Well, anyway you have turned it off thankfully.
Sorry it was my bad. Widescreen ratio is 16:9.
And that pic isnt any code warrior official artwork, so you can use much better looking unique fonts…

@Pras: I didn’t turn off Snap. It’s set to load after the whole page loads, so if you hit the stop button before the whole page loads, it won’t show up. Snap itself provides an option to turn it off, but I chose not to use it.
