Anousheh Ansari’s Space Blog

This post is really late in coming, I apologize to my readers for that, but then if you’ve been reading my past few posts then you’d know that I was really caught up with my exams and all for the past few days. Still, this event is so important that I think I have to post it.

If you’ve been following the news over the past one month (I’m sure you do) then you’d know that Anousheh Ansari became the first woman tourist to go to space. Cool price to pay for it, but that’s the cost of experience.

However, what was unique about this one is Anousheh Ansari’s Space Blog, which also shows how blogging has become the craze over recent times. Unique, because other space tourists before her didn’t blog directly from space. This gives a special first hand and much more ‘live’ experience of the whole thing. That’s the power of technology.

Going through the posts though, I do have to say that they’ve shamelessly advertised for their X-Prize Foundation, but I guess when you give millions of dollars to it you expect something in return.

Do visit the blog. It makes for an enjoyable reading.

DPSVK HYE 06 – Results

Hmmm. What do I say. Ummm, don’t know whether I call this term good or bad, but I guess it’d qualify as slightly bad by standards. Maybe then again, it won’t, looking at the fact that 90%ers from so many other schools are now getting in 70s and 60s. And the fact that people who get good marks in VMC, FIITJEE, Narayana etc phase tests (and I mean REALLY good marks) are getting in 60s and 50s in these exams.

Well, I did end up getting about 81%, which I’d say is a MAJOR achievement, considering the fact that I was hardly there in class after the first two weeks of school. But still, my ranking in class is close to top 10, and this is the abilities section – my ranking would have been higher in other ones. It’s a climbdown though and it could have been better.

Let’s wait for final term then…
