In the memory of a friend…

A Very Special One…

ASTHA DIXIT

JUNE 15 1990- JULY 15 2007

We have a Friend,

I have a Friend,

Well we have many,

But a very Special One.

We had Fun, let none forget,

All was cool, all our lives set,

But Life is more of a risked bet.

Any day, God may decide,

To send his personal jet.

We have a Friend,

I have a Friend,

Well we have many,

But a very Special One.

Looks like He missed her a lot,

The sweetest in the world,

True she was.

In our hearts, she’d sure made a place.

Now that He has called her,

That place seems filled.

We have a Friend,

I have a Friend,

Well we have many,

But a very Special One.

Father said she got a recall,

Because He couldn’t stand it at all,

She’d been away from him, very long,

He was desperate to hear her song.

He couldn’t bear to see his child,

Though she was brave, a Tigress wild,

In Agony, Pain, desperation mild.

Now all we know, is all in this,

That we have a Friend,

That I have a Friend,

Well we have many,

But a very Special One.

Father says that she’ll have Him to see,

Father says that she’ll sit on his knee.

All her pain will be dim,

As she gets to sup with Him.

She’ll have many friends in Angels,

Well birds of a feather flock together…

But in ourselves, we’ll always contain,

That we have a Friend,

That I have a Friend,

Well we have many,

But a very Special One.

Life’s a game, where we need to move on,

Let’s just see to it that she doesn’t lose her song.

She stays on, in each of our hearts,

She’ll always reside in those huge parts,

At every party, sharing the tarts,

At every low, giving us starts…

Let’s all just keep in mind,

That we have a Friend,

That I have a Friend,

Well we have many,

But a very Special One.
