It’s up on the CBSE website now…DPS Vasant Kunj has qualified in the Heritage India Quiz 2007 written prelims!!! Sadly, Prateek Vijayavargia (who told me the results were out in the first place) didn’t get through. 🙁 I guess some days are just plain unlucky even for the best quizzers. I’m sure when you see the list you’ll find some schools and places you’ve never even heard of, and think ‘It’s gonna be easy to beat these people from the middle of nowhere’; but believe me, I’ve competed against some of these so-called ‘middle of nowhere’ schools and then have some brilliant people who are top rate quizzers.

small town schools do make big in these quizzes. a team of NDDB from Anand knocked us (along with DPS RKP) hollow in the National Pre finals and later went on to become National Champions!
@SA: Heritage India Quiz uses a knockout format, with schools being divided into batches for the stage rounds, and then proceeding onwards till the finals. Yes, many schools, pan-India if you’ve noticed. HIQ is one of THE biggest quizzes in India.
@Achyuth: Yes, I’m on the team. And the Anand team IS good – they were there in our CBSE Intel Science Quiz too, and they were pretty good indeed. I wanted to point out, that we shouldn’t be complacent at all about these teams – they’re GOOD.
