Download Jack Kilby Science and Technology Quiz 2007 Archive

A lot of people coming to my over the past few days seem to be interested in the Jack Kilby Science Quiz 2006 Archive (and related Sample Questions). Many of them have been clamoring for the 2007 archives. I couldn’t get a full archive, but thanks to Prateek Vijayavargia we could patch together a sampling of questions from the Delhi round. Click here to download the Jack Kilby Science and Technology Quiz 2007 Delhi round archive (PDF, ~950 KB). Hopefully, this should give participants an idea about the quiz. Best of luck for all of you who made it to the national finals this year.

Another quizzing-related news today: DPS VK Quiz Club’s team of Saurabh Chaudhary, Tushar Krishnan, and Aishwarya Gulati won the Japan Quiz! Conducted by Quizcraft, the Japan Quiz is organized by the Japanese Embassy in Delhi. The winners get to go to Japan for a trip next year. This is one-up from our performance last year, when our team were the runners-up. It’s simply great to see that the foundations of the club which were laid down two years back has finally matured. DPS VK sure is on a winning spree!

hi Ankur
everything fine.
There seems to be an internal server error on this Jack Kilby link.
If u cd jus check it out.

@ Ankur – Yes there seems to be a problem with the file. Do upload it again..And thanks for putting it up.
Anyways, congrats to the DPSVK QC team for winning the Japan Quiz 2008. I was also there, but sadly could not qualify (Just a day’s prep for this one)…This time it was hardcore Japan in the prelims…But great performance by the VK team.

@Sarthak and Prateek: Thanks for pointing out the error! It was a configuration issue, which I’ve sorted out. The link is working now.

@ankur and prateek: did they win the delhi round or the national one?? my friend told me it is a national event so was wondering….
hey ankur : by the way whom did you lose to last year?

@ankur: i have 2 more quizzes coming up on monday and wednesday followed by my unit tests, so wouldn’t be able to turn out ‘my experience of Parnab’s quiz’…sry for that.

@ Chirag – The Japan Quiz has only 1 Round – The Delhi Regional Round as far as I know and they won that one.
Best of Luck for both the Quizzes and the tests!

@Chirag: No problem, send it to me whenever you have time, and if you feel like it. 🙂 Best of luck for the quizzes and tests! Also, I didn’t go for Japan Quiz last year. I’ve frikkin’ clue about Japan; there was this guy in our quiz club though who loved Japan – he listened to Japanese songs, Japanese TV shows, Japanese books, Japanese pr0n, Japanese anime. So that was something of his interest. 😀 BTW, Code Wars 2008 has been rescheduled to 21st November. Do come! I hope it doesn’t clash with your unit tests on 14th any longer.

@ankur: gr8 that code wars is rescheduled, and my uts end on 20th, so 21st will be great…but our school hasn’t so far received the invite (anyways i’m not that good in tech/computers so thinking of giving it a miss)

@Chirag: The invites were dispatched in batches on Thursday and Friday. I dunno which batch your school was in, but it should reach by Monday / Tuesday. Anyway, Code Wars is an open invite event – you can download it from the Code Warriors site and come. So we’re ‘open’ in that sense: anyone can come but there’s a restriction on the number of teams per event a school can send. Also, if you want I can email the invite from the official Code Warriors ID to your school’s official ID, if your school’s particular about it. CW quiz / crossword isn’t really easy to crack for those who know ONLY about computers you know. 😉 I try to incorporate a lot of other fields in too.

Congrats on the Japan Quiz! Who won last yr? Why dont you link that line with which particular event it refers to? Also, abt the paper you’ve uploaded, the questions were really amazing 😀 but there was a small problem in the airbus image you put. If you look carefully, you can actually see Airbus A380 written on the top of it. I really dont think the original qn wud have been like that…? Or was it ? =)
