Derek O’ Brien’s Times of India Fun-da-Mental Quiz 2007 was held today (30th October 2007) at Siri Forst Auditorium. I hadn’t gone for the event (I had to go for a Code Warriors’ event – as president, I thought it was my duty) – Varun, Rach, and Ankit did – but from what I hear it was shitty. Our school, DPS RKP, Mother’s International, New Era (they were the champions last year) – none of them qualified even for the stage rounds, which I heard were worse too. It seems Derek’s decided to become an MC than a quizmaster.

Anyway, it’s coming late, but here’s the Times Of India Fun-da-mental Quiz 2005 Archive for download. Again, thanks to Prateek Vijayavargia. I wonder how this guy remembers all the stuff! He’s sent in LOADS more questions, will be putting them up one-by-one soon.

Derek O’ Brien’s Times of India NIE Fun-da-Mental Quiz 2007 is coming to town soon, on 30th October 2007. Too sad I’ve a Code Warriors event on that day and won’t be going. I feel it’s my duty as the Code Warriors President to be with my team, even if the DPS VK QC needs me more for some other event.

Anyway, here are two quiz papers, from NIE 2006 Quiz, hope it comes useful for all those going for it this year. Download them here.

• Times of India Fun-da-mental Quiz 2006 Prelims: Relatively easy paper, which means the cut-offs shot sky-high. The difference between teams qualifying and not qualifying was just 0.5 points, and there were multiple teams on the same score.
• Times Of India Fun-da-Mental 2006 Selection Intra: An online selection intra held at DPS VK QC to select last year’s team.
