No, it turned out to be a movie called Rock On!! (including those two exclamation marks; not added by me). When I first saw the promos for this movie on television, I was a bit confused and looked out of the window to see if it was a stray dog crying out for help. I was about to call the animal shelter, when Rach told me that it was actually Farhan Akhtar singing. A much better review can be found here, and fits my intuition of what the movie would be (surprise surprise, I just needed the trailer to come to the same conclusions):
Rock On is an unapologetic chick flick. For guys. Which makes it technically a ‘dick flick’. Which is why I hoped it would have been called Cock On, if for nothing else than for the sake of truth in labeling.
