You were also brilliant in Olympics quiz by TOI. In that quiz , we were not able to score on the visuals only . The written round was very easy but those five visuals were tough.
In our school also , there are only 4-5 students mainly in quizzing.
Heyy Prateek , Does ur school participates in CBSE Heritage Quiz also ?? Never seen you dere from d last 2 yrs. We have been qualifying d written round from last 2 years but we didnt go ahead.
@Aman: Oh, so you guys were there last year in HIQ too? 🙂 You must have been in the Amity school regionals, right?
naah….new state academy was not with us….did u guys give the HIQ prelims this time around??
@Prateek: good job yaar, my team didnt go fr the quiz this year, because the senior team wanted to try out for the last time. we will be there next time!
@Aman – Thanks a lot 🙂 Many of the teams tripped on the visuals actually as the dries were pretty easy….I think we got 2 out of the 4. Yes, I have been participating in the CBSE Heritage India Quiz from the past 2 years and also gave it this year. Just that since its not a team effort and all the 3 members scores are added (My partners have not performed well), we have not been able to go past the prelims :-(. Results for this year are awaited and I am hoping for a positive one. Thats One Quiz I would like to do well in….And preparations for building a good team for Class XII shall start soon. Whats your email address, Aman? It would be great to u know abt any other quizzes…
@Agrim – Yes, Amity NOIDA did qualify but Saket did not…I thought u wud come – I suppose I dont believe in the concept of Seniors Going even if they are going for the last time (Just because its their last year, does not mean they shall go everywhere) – I believe the best team should represent the school – Whatever it shall be. Hope to c u soon in some quizzes….How r Class X Boreds prep going?

We were dere in DPS Dwarka last year. Do u know Utkarsh Bharadwaj of DPS Dwarka ?? He is a master at India Heritage Quizzing.

yaa..we were able to score only dat Montreal visual.
we gave d prelims dis yr for Heritage and We hope to qualify dis time too. From the last two yeras , d Heritage Prelims were only based on Indian GK.But dis time , the written round was quite tough but we did well enough and are preparing hard for d next round. Building a good team for Class XII…ohh dats gud…dis means dat u r in XIth rite nw..I m also in Xith…Which stream hv u opted for and how was ur Boards result dis yr ??

@Agrim: Seriously, the best team should be sent, and not something based on club politics. That’s how DPS VK sent a second-rung team to HT InQuizitive this year – because of club politics! Were you there at HT too?
@Aman: Of course I know Utkarsh. I know he’s real good at heritage, those guys won the Delhi regionals last year, didn’t they? I was also there at the DPS Dwarka round, but with all our team members (including me) being from 12th we really were out of touch. 😉 Quite a lot of ‘good’ teams including DPS RKP didn’t qualify last year. BTW, have you checked out the Contemporary India Quiz I conducted? Utkarsh came for that too, and they were leading pretty much throughout the event – but crashed out in the last round. Really felt sorry for them.
@Prateek: That’s one ‘problem’ with the HIQ prelims – each individual member needs to perform well. 😉 But I guess that ensures that everyone on the team works hard.
@Ankur – yaaa u were also dere in the 2nd round. we were dere in the 1st round with Indian School, Muscat and DPS Rohini. And u with DAV and DPS Dwarka. We both came second.
Utkarsh is brilliant at Heritage.I dnt like 1 thing abt CBSE HIQ . We have reached d delhi regionals defeating around 200 schools of Delhi. And CBSE doesnt even give a Certificate of participation , to be in top 15 schools of delhi is a BIG deal i suppose.
yaa I checkd dat India Contemporary Quiz but d files of Round 1 and 2 were nt opening. And i cudnt understand sum of the AV questions
@Aman: Ah yes, there’s nothing to show for the fact that we made it that far in HIQ. Guess that’s CBSE for you.
