HT InQuizitive 2008 Winners

HT InQuizitive 2008 Winners, originally uploaded by Ankur Banerjee.

Group photo of the HT Inquizitive 2008 Delhi finals participants. You’ll find Prateek Vijayavargia in the pic, next to that hot chick (no, I’m not talking about Annapoorna Sehgal :p) who’s standing beside Siddhartha Basu.

@Achyuth: Nice to hear from you after so long! πŸ™‚ Prateek’s already won NIE, last year, so it’s just one left for him. πŸ˜‰ (Well, actually two, since he came 2nd in HT, but he’ll get there!). Oh, BTW, NIE won’t be held this year.

So how’s life at IIT-C (or is it IIT-M?)

@Ankur…..
Thanks a tonne!!!!!
Yup, I was there last time too…..
Came fourth, I suppose….

@ Agrim and all those in Classes 8-10 – The Jack Kilby Science and Technology Quiz 2008 is here! And its the best science quiz there is! Its conducted by the KQA and is one of the few Quality Quizzes around! More details here – http://www.tiif.org/
@ Ankur – Best of Luck for your SAT Subject Tests! I think people still refer to it as IIT-M…;-)
@ Aakash – Good to know u were on stage last year 2…U deserved to win this time den! We just narrowly missed qualification last time round πŸ™
@ Achyuth – Great to hear from u! Thanks a lot. Yes I think I will definitely try my best to do the treble next year – NIE Fun-da-mental Quiz, HT Inquizitive and Columban Open. I suppose for the Columban I need a more strong team and need to work on areas like English Music.
Though we have reached Semis at Columban, won the NIE Fun-da-mental twice in Delhi (If u count the Samsung Olympics Quest as the Fun-da-mental this year) and finished second in HT Inquizitive, therez scope for a lot of improvement…And with competition getting tougher thanks to the likes of Aakash, Aman and Agrim….it will be a tough task πŸ™‚
Yes I know Chennai has a a great quizzing culture…So have u attended any QFI/IQL/Landmark Quizzes? If u gain some experience there, u will surely rock there also!

Its good to see some great quizzers coming together on Ankur’s blog – Aman, Agrim, Ankur, Aakash, and Sanjay……

@Prateek: LOL, I noticed, most of the quizzers here in this discussion have names starting with ‘a’. πŸ˜‰ (I noticed that in the last line of your comment.)

@ankur

Saw the Inter DPS Contemporary India quiz 208 in school…awesooooooooommmme quiz….superb questions….really liked it….too gud….all d rounds were interesting….d hangman was quite new one….gr8888 quiz..was knowing around 60% questions , but i enjoooyyyedddd it
my rating—– 11 on 10

@ Aman – Good u saw it. But they did not show the quiz properly and the editing and all was shoddy work.

@ Ankur – Yes the Quiz was very good, but I suppose it was a bit heavy on Fear Factor πŸ˜‰ (What about those quizzers who dont get “Colors” at their homes?)

@Prateek: Come on! There were just TWO questions out of 150 or so on Fear Factor. And that too the second one should have been easier because I shown the whole line-up of chicks in the first semi-final! That was my intention too – to make the teams think during the finals “Aw shit, he’d shown all of them in the QF and I don’t remember it”. πŸ˜‰ (And people STILL didn’t get it right. πŸ™ ) Sigh. Anyway, HT had done a special story on Khatron Ke Khiladi too, in one of its Brunch issues a few days before.
